Job Details
Good career prospects are on offer with this successful design and build contractor. The role is within their rail division as part of their in-house design team. They are committed to growing their technical division to service a range of rail and underground projects, predominantly in the London and the South. Typical projects include station improvements, new roof canopies, load bearing foundations, signal gantries, escalators, marshalling yards and platform extensions.
A background in building or civil engineering structures would provide suitable experience as would direct rail exposure. You will carry out surveys, scheme drawings using MicroStation and some basic calculations. There will be occasional site visits. They are looking for an HNC/ HND (or equivalent) qualified technician ideally with some experience of MicroStation and a background in civil/ structural projects.
