ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - Suitable for an Associate looking to take the next step in their career.
As one of the leading structural engineering consultants in the UK, a position as a Associate Director within the firm would be an opportunity that cannot go a miss.
My client is has recently been awarded to design the Olympic Bridge in Stratford. Also they have successfully tendered and won the Shanghai Expo 2010 which will incorporate thousands of spines each tipped with a light which can be programmed to change colour and create moving patterns across the building facade.
The successful candidate would be working in an office which is the home of a dynamic team involved in a wide range of exciting and challenging projects ranging from the design of leisure, residential and commercial schemes to the demanding analysis of complex industrial structures.
An experienced Structural engineer with building structures experience currently working for a structural engineering consultancy is required as Associate Director responsible for large building structures projects and for teams working on those projects.
Skills:
- Excellent engineering skills and experience in dealing with day to day running of large projects.
- Commercial understanding of fee management and control of financial issues relating to projects
Qualifications:
- MIStruct E and /or MICE
Personal Qualities:
- Good team player /leader able to work in busy multi discipline office
- The ability to communicate clearly and supervise others is essential, along with a desire to work in a progressive environment.
- Relevant experience in a similar role working on both small and large projects within medium to large multi-discipline consultant.
- Large building design and project control.
- Design related computer skills preferably (but not essential) FEA
