One of Europe's largest consultancies is currently looking for a Bridge Engineer to join their team.  The Bridges team is involved in a wide range of projects worldwide.  Working with steel, timber and concrete the team compliment the road projects undertaken by the consultancy.  The team are concerned with detailed design, scheme preparation, as well as assessment and site inspection works. 
Training and support will be provided to the successful applicant with those who wish to work towards ICE Chartered status provided with accredited training. 

Responsibilities
-Preparation of bridge design and drawings
-Undertaking assessment and inspection of existing bridge stocks
-Carrying out feasibility studies for strengthening and repair
-Assisting in the maintenance of structures on behalf of overseeing authorities
-Management of small schemes or parts of larger schemes
-Overseeing the work of Junior Technicians and Graduate Engineers
-Interfacing with multi-disciplinary project teams
-Ensuring compliance with appropriate design and health & safety standards
Requirements
-A degree in Civil Engineering.
-At least 2 years post-graduate experience, preferably in a structures or bridges design office.
-Be able to demonstrate an aptitude for structural design.
-Good communication skills (both written and oral) are essential.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
-Experience of grillage, space frame and finite element analysis software packages.
-A working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges would be an advantage.
