My client, at the forefront of the aerospace industry, are consistently developing and surpassing current industry standards. Due to continued commercial growth and success they are currently recruiting for Senior Manager – Operational Excellence, based in the UK, on a contract basis.

The Senior Manager – Operational Excellence will be an internal expert with the full range of Lean Manufacturing tools to champion the implementation of Lean Manufacturing within the assigned regions (Europe & Asia) and will be accountable for using Lean techniques to increase employee engagement to establish a culture of continuous improvement and waste elimination. Incumbent is expected to work extensively as an active participant as well as facilitator of teams that are working to eliminate waste in their work processes. This role will also be responsible for driving best practices throughout the regions and work closely with site leadership on ensuring optimum operational performance.

Your main duties will be executing Rapid Improvement events, Introducing and sustaining change across region, integrating process solutions across multiple disciplines and Leading the definition, creation and implementation of Standardized Training Programs.

To complete this role it is likely that you will have a good knowledge utilizing Lean principles, Total Quality, 5s implementation, KanBan Systems, Six Sigma, 5S/Worplace Organization, Visual Management, SMED, Standard Work, Flow Concepts, Level Load scheduling and other problem solving CI tools. High level of statistical knowledge and the ability to apply analysis techniques to product and process improvement projects is an advantage.
