Innovating for a positive future
Employing 3,400 people in the UK and North America, Drax Group generates renewable power, produces and sells sustainable biomass, and supplies over 149,000 organisations with renewable source electricity.
We’re the UK’s largest source of renewable electricity and, thanks to significant engineering innovation, Drax Power Station in North Yorkshire is Europe’s largest decarbonisation project.
The site’s also at the heart of our world-leading ambition to be carbon negative by 2030. We’re developing Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) negative emissions technology, with the aim of removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at scale while delivering reliable renewable electricity. Succeeding will help us achieve our overall purpose: to enable a zero carbon, lower cost energy future.
Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer needed
If you’re an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer with the drive we’re looking for, you could play a key role in developing our BECCS capabilities.
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you’d help to manage the design and construction of our world-class engineering projects in the UK. You’d also oversee the design phase of other prestige developments in Europe and the USA. Completing these projects successfully would do more than help us achieve our targets; it would support the world in tackling the global climate crisis.
