Our client is one of the market leaders in the Building, Environmental and Civil Engineering Industries. They are a diversified business and are currently involved in construction, water and waste water treatment, metering, facilities management and property projects

They now have an opportunity for an experienced Civil Design Man
ager to manage a number of innovative and challenging projects ain the North West of England, and throughout the UK

The successful candidate will work alongside a team on a variety of high value projects including water and waste water treatment projects

They should be a self-motivated individual and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the design, construction, installation and commissioning of water & waste water treatment plants and hydraulic systems

They will also command a good knowledge of tendering and process equipment selection

The candidate will possess a third level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline, be dynamic in their approach to work and have excellent report writing skills

The Roles and responsibilities will typically involve the following stages:
Preliminary and Concept Design (Process, Mechanical)
Tender and Proposals
Detailed Design (Process, Mechanical)
Construction & Project Management
Commissioning & Setting to work
Desirable Experience and Qualifications

Required skills:
Ideally Degree Qualified Civil Engineer, Design or Technical background
Experience in the water industry with particular emphasis on Water & Waste Water Treatment Plants
Excellent organisational & Communication skills and networking ability
Strong engineering analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Have a willingness to learn and develop in the water and waste water Industry
Previous Roles: Design Manager or Coordinator in a similar role
