Structural Engineer (Water)
An opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join this multi-disciplinary global consultancy specialising in the Water and Natural Resources. Primary Purpose of Role
Working within the Structural Group undertaking structural design in the wet infrastructure sector. Primarily working with other structural and civil engineers on a variety of projects to successful construction completion, typically analysis and design in reinforced concrete and steel.
* Undertake structural design of water infrastructure projects for a number of framework partners
* Undertake site surveys, field investigations, condition surveys and feasibility studies for proposed projects and prepare technical reports
* Undertake structural steelwork analysis and design using Fastrak Building Designer
* Undertake FE analysis of concrete structures using STAAD Pro software
* Ensure designs take account of environmental issues and have full regard for H&S requirements
* Complete all work in line with our core values and in accordance with the Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures
*Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or other relevant subject. Degree to be recognised by appropriate institution
*Graduate member of a relevant engineering institution, i.e ISTRUTE, ICE
*Post Graduate experience in Structural or Civil Engineering with a good level of practical experience
*Preferably experienced in FE analysis
*Good level of design decision making
*Ability and willingness to travel within the UK, with current driving license
*Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
*Ability to work well in a team and independently
*Good communication skills - both oral and written
*Good organisational skills and bale to multi-task
