Assistant infrastructure engineer for a medium sized consultancy based in Manchester City Centre.
Your new company
This is an independent, multi-disciplinary engineering practice, providing structural, civil, environmental, geotechnical and transportation consultancy service from five UK offices and overseas. They have recently seen an increased order book and are continuing to grow their workload therefore require a grad + 2/3 years' experience in their Manchester office.
Your new role
You will be working in a busy office environment and a very well established consultancy where you will play an active role in designing within the civil team. You will be working on projects within the commercial, residential, educational sector and also some expert witness involvement with a real variation of projects to take on. There will be lots of opportunity to progress and develop your career and great engineers around you who will support your progression to CEng status.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in the use of AutoCAD, PDS and MicroDrainage; managing resources, responding to queries and advising on technical queries; Technical competence in the reviewing and checking of detailed design proposals and advising junior members of staff on technical issues; Experience of S38, S278 and S104 Agreements; Experience of high-level Drainage Strategy work and Flood Risk Assessments; Experience of writing reports - Drainage Strategies, FRA's etc.
