Associate Structural Engineer
This central London based civil structural consultancy seeks an Associate Structural Engineer. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
The medium sized practice provides service throughout England and Wales in a variety of projects. They take a major role in the entire process from bid to completion through their management system - each project has an appointed Director and Project leader.
It is an important time at the consultancy and they have the need for an Associate Structural Engineer to strengthen the delivery teams in the London office. They work on exciting and diverse projects, examples include an architecturally led residential development and the detailed design of a major railway system. The sale of projects varies from muti-building mixed-use developments to small refurbishments of existing structures.
The consultancy works with developers, D&B contractors and large institutional organisations. The role requires time spent in the design offices as well as visiting sites from pre-tender and planning through to the construction stage of projects.

You should have a broad range of skills and design experience within all forms of buildings structures in all major materials (concrete, steel, timber and masonry). Strong technical knowledge is a must, you should be confident to run your own projects from start to finish and liaise with clients on your own basis. The experience you have should allow you to make correct judgements quickly and be able to lead a team.
You will be able to lead senior and less experienced engineers, and manage internal resources for delivery. Perhaps most importantly, you will be entirely comfortable taking responsibility for project delivery. Actively seeking responsibility will be part of your personality. You will build relationships with their client base through sound delivery. As well has being MICE or MIStructE
any Robot, Revit and BIM experience would be advantageous.
