I am currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a main contractor working on a £30m civil engineering infrastructure project. Their group turnover exceeding £200m a year and have future projects around Bedfordshire with values between £5m - £25m and will include a range of scope from bulk earthworks, structures, utilities, surfacing, etc. They are looking for an enthusiastic engineer who is looking to seriously develop their knowledge and career within Civil Engineering.
It should also be mentioned that this is an ideal time to join the company as the workload is steady and will allow you time to settle in and understand the company procedures before main work commences again.
You will be responsible for the setting out of civil engineering works along with ensuring quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification. You must also operate and promote a high standard of health and safety compliance.
Your daily activities will include but not limited to:
- Plan and schedule the work and efficiently organise the site in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.
- Attend regular meetings with the engineering, planning, design, H&S, quality & environment teams to update on progress of works.
- Oversee quality control and safety matters on the site, and ensure that regulations are adhered to.
You will need to have:
- Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng)
- Relevant CSCS card
- Civil engineering project experience
