An International consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Highways London Team, who will be responsible for managing the production of technical design information including reports, drawings and specifications for the infrastructure associated projects. The role will also involve liaison with both private and public clients, local authorities and external stakeholders. Supported closely by the Team Associate, you will be expected to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision, whilst also managing and supporting the supervision of junior team members. The candidate must be technically sound and able to lead, develop and deliver design strategies for different type of developments and project stages. You should have experience in the design and project management of roads, car park geometry, drainage and earthworks for residential, commercial and retail developments and will be responsible for the production of planning stage design input, detailed and construction design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents and specifications. You will be expected to guide, provide technical assistance and thoroughly review the design and calculations of other engineers in the team. You will also assist with the production of proposals for new commissions, and undertaking project management and financial control of small to medium sized projects. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate experience and proficiency of industry standard software including Windes, AutoCAD and Civils 3D etc. You should be able to demonstrate experience using design standards such as Sewers for Adoption, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges and BSEN Standards. Experience of international design standards would be an advantage. Proven examples in successful design delivery of highways and drainage infrastructure to none-adoptable as well as adoptable standards including the successful negotiation of Section 104, Section 38 and Section 278 Agreements are required.
