Your new company
This job is to join one of the leading small consultancies in the Edinburgh market. Operating as a privately owned business, the style of service they deliver is the basis of their company, and is how they market themselves against their competitors. They deal with residential, leisure and commercial property projects across Scotland within the private sector.

Your new role
You will join as a senior member of their team to compliment the existing technical members of staff. Responsibilities of this role include; design, project delivery and management and day-to-day team involvement in a small business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a unique style to their business approach which has evidently thrived as clients continue to value to the service they provide. With plans to remain a small tight-knit business and stick to their principles rather than grow and become another name in a flooded market, working here would be a welcomed addition to your reputation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will require a full membership to either the ICE or IStructE and extensive experience within consultant structural engineering. Ideally you will have worked in smaller companies to allow you to have an understanding of the business type. However, if you are in a larger company with a drive to work in an environment where the value of the service is king rather than working as a cog in a huge machine this is similarly something you should wish to discuss.

What you'll get in return
You will gain the opportunity to work in a company which is very well known across the market despite their size due to the reputations the individual employees have gained over recent decades. This will in turn reflect on your reputation as it will reflect on theirs. The salary is well remunerated with various other additional benefits.
