Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
Seismic engineering experience and a broad background in structural engineering would be advantageous for this varied and technically challenging career. As a structural engineer you will be investigating the cause of failures to building and civil engineering structures at home and internationally. The scope of the work will be uncommonly broad taking in high and low rise commercial, residential, industrial, and public sector buildings, rail, airport, water re-training, ports & harbours, bridge and highway structures. They are looking for a chartered MIStructE or MICE engineer ( or equivalent) who has a strong design background and strong communication and report writing skills. Your work will involve visiting sites to carry out investigative work and the preparation of carefully written reports to support your findings.
