Transport Modeller Opportunity
Your new company
Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy working on domestic and international projects. Based in Glasgow City Centre, they are seeking a Transport Modeller to join their strong and well established team that are currently delivering important policy, strategy, modelling and research projects throughout the transportation sector.
Your new role
Ideally this role will be suited to a Transport Modeller with experience working on Transport Model for Scotland and capable of project management, including cost control and client liaison. As well as Transport Modelling, the team offers services such as, model applications to support policy and strategy development, case for a wide range of transport investments, demand market and economic analysis and forecasting, development planning and scheme feasibility and design. In addition your transport planning skills will allow you to create streetscapes, secure developers planning approval whilst delivering sustainable and accessible developments.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have analytical mind and background, having knowledge and experience in transport modelling and forecasting and experience in appraisal and evaluation of transport proposals. It's important that you have a good knowledge of simulation software packages, these could include SATURN, PARAMICS, CUBE, EMME, VISSIM,TUBA and spreadsheet modelling. The need to have strong technical and report writing skills is also advantageous for this role, as is the ability to manage your time and make the required deadlines. Finally you should be comfortable explaining technical concepts to others, especially graduates, clients and other stakeholders.
