The Opportunity: The civil engineering team has secured four years’ worth of major project work, in addition to their ongoing stream of new commissions. Their London office has recently been organised to provide a standalone civil engineering service to major developers and local authorities. It is also the centre of civil engineering infrastructure expertise for their office network throughout London and the South of England. This has resulted in success winning  major new civil engineering infrastructure projects,  the opportunity for quick career progression is excellent. The firm is a privately-owned partnership that provides excellent training, support and employment terms with generous pension contribution and benefits. Current projects include a 1000 plus  unit urban regeneration schemes for residential, leisure, retail and commercial use and developments for major housing developers and out of town commercial projects.

Your Role: Reporting to a senior engineer your role will focus on highways design for Section 38 and Section 278 applications. You will also be given the time and guidance to develop drainage design expertise. Their projects tend to be large developments requiring extensive highways and drainage infrastructure. You will occasionally work on smaller projects providing the opportunity to take responsibility for project delivery. You will work closely with local authorities and developers and will be expected to develop productive working relationships with their clients.

Your Background: Experience and the ability to learn and develop are foremost. You should be qualified to HND or degree level and have experience in the design of estate roads. You will need to be familiar with Auto Cad and have experience of design software such as MX, PDS, Civils 3D or similar. Finally, you will be part of a division that is growing quickly, you should be keen to develop your skills to take advantage of promotional openings. They run a programme of in-house training and an approved ICE training scheme.
