Are you a transport modeller? Would you like to use your skills to make a difference in Central Government?

We are looking for enthusiastic transport modellers to join the Department’s Local and Regional Transport Analysis team to enhance our modelling capability. You will be boosting the transport modelling capacity of the team, ensuring that proper analytical scrutiny for major transport schemes is provided and we can help to address some of the UK’s major public policy challenges.

The role will involve primarily working on the following projects:

  • The Housing Infrastructure Fund that aims to create the infrastructure necessary to unlock housing.
  • The Transforming Cities Fund that aims to boost sustainable transport options in some of the UK’s most congested major urban centres.
  • The Local Growth Fund that aims to boost productivity and economic growth on a local level.
  • Large Local Major Schemes for local authorities to deliver transformational transport projects in their areas.

You will benefit from opportunities to work as part of a wider multidisciplinary community of analysts and provide modelling support to two directorates, Regions Cities and Devolution, and Local and Regional Transport Analysis, delivering analytical assurance on an array of Central Government transport funds.
