Geotechnical/Senior Geotechnical Engineer Vacancy
We are currently working with a busy, large consultancy who due to an increase in their workload are looking to add to their team with the appointment of a Geotechnical Engineer.
Our client work with a variety of clients across the country and are looking for candidates who can take a lead role on projects from day one.
With a degree in either Geology, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering and preferably holding a post graduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline, the successful candidate will have experience of undertaking site investigation and supervision of site works, factual and interpretive report writing, project management and supervising and mentoring junior member of staff client liaison for both contaminated land and geotechnical projects.
You will have experience in managing, undertaking and supervising intrusive site investigations using a variety of techniques (shell and auger, windowless sampling, trial pits etc), have the ability to log soils and manage sub-contractors, ideally be able to undertake preliminary foundation design, slope stability assessment, earthworks specifications and retaining wall design and also have an understanding of contaminated land and the assessment of contamination in soil and groundwater.
