Associate Director - Structures
A great, new opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to move into the Structures team of one of the UK's leading multidisciplinary architectural practices.
The role is the result of increased workload which has left the firm having to turn down work. This means you will be joining a thriving practice that is working on a variety of interesting projects.
The current Director of the Structures team brings a wealth of experience from London having relocated to the Bedfordshire region 18 months ago. He has found the move to be a positive one, having achieved greater work life balance without compromising professional development and satisfaction.
Working under that Director on a daily basis offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop under his tutelage.
If you have a particular sector interest or expertise within Structural Engineering then the client has stated they are happy for you to develop that area. Therefore, the role allows for real autonomy and offers the chance for you to have a say in what you do on a day to day basis.
You will be joining a team of 5 and working with all the main structural materials.
The Ideal Candidate:
·Degree qualified, ideally Chartered
·Minimum 8 years Post-Graduation experience in the design of UK building structures
·Ability to lead and mentor junior staff
·Experience of using TEDDS calculation package
·knowledge of AutoCAD
