Civil Engineer | Road & Drainage Design | Glasgow

Your new company
A leading medium sized consulting engineer who are currently performing very well in the UK New Build Construction market. They are very well established within the and have built up a very strong reputation within the residential, education and commercial sectors meaning they continually gain repeat business from key clients. They have been experiencing consistent growth over the last two years and are now looking to employ a Civil Design Engineer.

Your new role
As a key member of the Civil Design team you will be responsible for the design of roads and drainage for a plethora of projects within the residential, commercial, retail and leisure sectors. For this, you will use civil design software's such as PDS, Microdrainage and Civil 3D. A large aspect of this role will involve representing the organisation at technical design meetings and collaborating with other professionals within the construction industry. You will also be involved in the development and mentoring of more junior members of staff.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a degree or other relevant qualification in Civil Engineering and significant experience in the Civils sector. You will have experience in the use of Civil Engineering design packages such as PDS, Civils 3D or Microdainage. Due to the nature of the role, it is important you have good communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to work effectively within your team and liaise with clients.
