Structural Project Engineer
Our client’s energised approach to building structures engineering combined with their high level of technical expertise and client care has proved a winning formula. The practice has grown to employ thirty staff since its formation seven years ago. Their clients are mainly blue chip developers, high profile architectural practices, contractors and project managers. They have a new opportunity for a talented design focused structural engineer who will work closely alongside the managing director ( a highly accomplished and regarded structural engineer in his own right) to design and deliver complex and innovative structures, predominantly in the UK. You will be joining a talented team of engineers drawn from London’s leading consulting firms. Your project workload will have a focus on new buildings covering arts and leisure, education, prime residential, build to rent, mixed-use and commercial. You will work closely with the managing director at client consultation and conceptual stages and from there will take ownership of your projects and lead design production. Their collaborative approach and emphasis on customer care means that you will work closely with clients. You will need to enjoy this aspect of your work and have the communication skills to develop productive working relationships. Your background should have included five or more years in building structures design with an emphasis on innovative and challenging projects. Knowledge of all the commonly used materials is essential. Your academic background should include a 2:1 from a leading university, if you are not already chartered you should be very close to achieving this status with the IStructE or ICE. The firm has set a target for growth that will enable them to maintain their high engineering standards and service levels. This will see them expand to sixty and provide the environment to make progress in your career. As well as being a professionally focused business it is worth emphasising that the practice is a fun and sociable place of work.
