Your new company is a well-established independent Transport Planning and Engineering consultancy based in the centre of Bath. Their principle function is problem solving, with the client's requirements at the forefront of their business. Throughout, all staff maintain a professional hands-on approach with everything they do ensuring that costs are kept down while the quality and service remains high.

Your new role
In your new role you will be leading the delivery of technical work relating to transport planning inputs on projects, including strategic projects including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters, Access and Movement Frameworks, Sustainable Transport Strategies etc. You will be acting as Project Manager on medium to large size transport projects and undertake the Discipline Lead role on large scale multi-disciplinary projects. You will be required to attend meetings with clients, design teams, stakeholders, including local authorities and the general public as required. You will be a supervisor and technical mentor for junior members of the team. You will be contributing to established client relationships in order to achieve repeat business and contribute to the team's growth by widening the client base through networking and business development.

What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit a Transport Planner with a broad understanding of all elements of the profession and an ability to build and manage teams with specific specialisms to deliver the required outputs. You will need to be a positive and enthusiastic team player as well as very experienced with excellent technical knowledge relevant to the broad reach of development planning. Project management should be another strong area with proven experience in delivering projects on time and to budget. Excellent writing skills are necessary to ensure that high quality technical reports are issued to clients and stakeholders with minimal review. You will be confident to liaise with and advise all levels of management and your communication skills will be essential as the primary point of contact.

You will receive a competitive salary dependant on experience, qualifications and current package. Additionally, a non-contributory pension scheme is offered with the employer paying 10% of the salary. Working hours are 37.5 per week and you will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays.
