This firm are one of the UK's top Structural/Civil engineering consultancies. Their motto is to make complex structures simple and conventional structures efficient. Their work covers mixed use, commercial, residential, retail and schools projects, in both new build and refurbishment for major developers, architects and contractors.

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Civil Engineer to join their office in Central London. The office is within walking distance from mainline station as well as underground in SE1. You should have an MSc or MEng from a leading U.K. university.

The applicants C.V. should demonstrate an interest and passion in civil engineering, highlighting any relevant work experience and project experience.

They design all elements of drainage, roads and structure working with the country's top contractors and developers. The company is a forward thinking professional company with a vibrant social scene which underpins a great team spirit.

You will be working within the Civil Engineering team within the consultancy working on a variety of projects. You will be undertaking civil engineering designs on roads, drainage and infrastructure and to be the primary point of contact on projects ranging from £1M to £25M and work alongside the senior team members on projects up to £300M.

You will be responsible for managing the design and delivery on Civil Engineering schemes. You will be managing Project Draughtsmen and Technicians. You will need to liaise with the Structural Engineers internally and Clients, Architects and Contractors externally. A big part of the role will also require liaising with statutory authorities.

You must have the full right to work indefinitely in the UK. An outgoing personality and excellent communication skills are also essential. Your previous skills should include the design of drainage and roads on housing estates and inner city mixed used developments and be familiar with liaising and coordinating with numerous parties.

You will have experience in the design of:

  • Underground Drainage
  • Sustainable Drainage
  • Roads & Highways
  • Microdrainage

You will also ideally have experience in the following:

  • Flood Risk
  • Road Safety
  • DMRB
  • Manual for Streets
