Graduate Structural Engineer required to work for a design and build foundation engineering contractor in their in house design team.

A good degree in civil or structural engineering is required along with excellent communication skills.

Work experience in structural design is desirable but not essential for the right candidate. You must have your own car to be considered for this role and be able to commute to Luton.

You will be dealing with rc, piling, groundworks, basements and foundation design using state of the art FEA. The role will also include temporary works design and design of retaining walls, piled raft slabs and other civil structures.

There are around 10 staff in the Luton office and around 60 total staff in the business as a whole.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing across a range of projects, specialising in reinforced concrete
  • Producing detailed load take downs
  • Producing design and build concepts for pricing department
  • Providing technical support to estimating and construction team

Candidates with none to several years experience in buildings design to UK standards as well as a BSc in civil or Structural Engineering will be considered. Ideally you should be experienced in designing with concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
