Bridge Engineer

A senior bridge engineer is required by this award winning civil and structural consultancy. The position offers a varied career with the opportunity to progress to principal engineer. Our client is working on highway,  rail, nuclear and building projects.  They are looking for a bridge engineer with a minimum of seven years’ experience to join their civil structures team. As well as providing a focus on designs for new bridges and strengthening projects there will be the opportunity to work on a range of civil/structural works where your expertise is valuable.  This will typically include building structures, temporary works design and civil engineering works, often for the rail sector.

Your duties will include site visits, client liaison, two and three dimensional FEM analysis, static and strength calculations of steel, reinforced concrete and composite structures, and providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians. You will be joining a well respected practice with a reputation for being a good employer. Career progression could be very swift for the right candidate. You should have a civil or structural engineering degree from a reputable university. Support and training to achieve chartered status through the ICE and IStructE is provided.
