Based in one of the following offices: North Norfolk District Council, Cromer; Great Yarmouth Borough Council; Riverside, Lowestoft or East Suffolk House, Melton near Woodbridge, with travel between offices required.

Coastal Partnership East (CPE) comprises four local authorities; Great Yarmouth Borough Council, North Norfolk District Council and Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils (soon to become the single East Suffolk Council) delivering a resilient and comprehensive coastal management service. Whilst the partnership is just three years old it is already recognised as an exemplar for the management of coastline by Maritime Local Authorities. As an innovator in partnership working, we are evolving rapidly, and we need an exceptional individual to lead the team into the future.

To fulfil this amazing opportunity, we are looking for a dynamic, innovative and experienced Partnership Manager to lead CPE. As a creative, enthusiastic and a highly motivated professional you will inspire, guide, develop and manage our team. You will need to be an exceptional communicator, able to work with our Board, council members, senior officers, key stakeholders and the communities we serve. Your skill and professionalism will be vital to help the development of our partnership and the delivery of an integrated and adaptive approach to coastal management.

You will have significant experience of delivering major projects, leading highly-skilled teams across multiple organisations, with a sound understanding of coastal management, approaches to adaptation and a good grasp of funding requirements for coastal projects. The in-tray already includes: the delivery of the UKs first sandscaping project at Bacton,  67m flood protection scheme at Lowestoft, working with the community at Hemsby which lost 12 houses to erosion in 2018, as well as the development proposals of the Sizewell C nuclear power station and a multitude of other projects.

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development. We want you to stay with us for the long-term, so we will give you all the support we can to build a great career with our partnership organisations. There is also a superb benefits package including flexible working options, new purpose-built office accommodation, as well as generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.

Be in no doubt this is a challenging and demanding role at the cutting edge of coastal management. However, it is also immensely rewarding, and we would like to hear how you can contribute to the further development of our partnership, now and into the future.
