Are you a structural engineer with 4-8 years post graduate experience? Do you want to work on a variety of projects spanning commercial, retail, residential and industrial?

Our client are one of the largest private partnerships of private consultants in the UK that offer a multi-disciplinary service across building and civil engineering. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join their team in Leeds and work on a variety of projects.

What will you be doing?

* Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
* Technical lead on projects as and when required.
* Prepare high quality technical reports including dilapidation reports and due diligence structural surveys
* Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages, including CSC Fastrak, Tekkla, Building Designer, TEDDS, to back up reporting tasks.
* Carry out hand calculations for checking and scheme purposes
* Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, calcs etc) is always maintained.
* Liaise with and lead other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets the Clients objectives.
* Work on projects of various sizes and complexity including offices, hotels, large housing developments, retail etc.

Requirements for the post

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering essential.
* Minimum of 4-8 + full relevant years' Post-Graduation experience essential (UK based experience to be 4-6
years minimum)
* Varied experience in all the common forms of construction and building types.
* Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE) ideally depending on No. of years' experience.
* Varied experience in all the common forms of construction and building types.
* Experience of assessing existing structures is essential.
* Excellent report writing, communication and numerical skills required.
* Experience in working on listed and historical buildings would be advantageous.
* Experience of structural analysis design and analysis software essential.
* Experience of work on large projects, offices, hotels, housing developments etc.
* Use of Eurocodes & British Standards is essential.
* Full clean driving license.
* Excellent, positive, reliable work ethic is essential.
