Structural Engineer ( advanced design & innovation)

For are a building structures engineer with a creative edge this is an opportunity to design advanced and elegant structures in collaboration with a range of leading architects.  Our client is highly regarded within the architectural and building engineering community.  They are a medium sized and independently owned consultancy that runs small project groups. For an engineer with around two to four years’ experience this will mean having an insight and involvement in schemes from concept stages through to completion. They will be challenging and eye catching projects mainly in the UK with some overseas work.  Professional development will be swift, you will work under the guidance of an associate and have the support of your more experienced team members. You will be given more autonomy to take on your own workload and projects as soon as you are ready.

You will be joining a bright and motivated team each of whom have their own individual strengths. Your background should include a degree in civil or structural engineering at  2:1 level or above from a reputable. This should be followed up by at least two years building structures design experience and include some challenging projects. Knowledge of steel and concrete design is essential, and you can expect to work with a range of materials. In addition to your technical skills our client is looking for some flair, creativity and the ability to think around problems laterally. You will receive first class training and mentorship to achieve chartership through either the ICE or IStructE.
