Senior Transport Planner

Your new company

Your new organisation is a large, multidisciplinary firm that works on a diverse range of projects across the European, African and Asian continents.The team is on the route of expansion and works closely with the other sections of the firm including the transport modelling, town planning and civil engineering departments of the business. Located in the heart of central London in brand new offices, this role although focused on UK schemes, allows for global movement due to its massive world-wide presence. Clients and projects include 2,500+ unit schemes for high profile organisations including the Foreign Commonwealth Office, MoD along with well-known house builders and developers in the UK.

Your new role
Your role will involve undertaking different tasks relating to projects including travel plans, transport assessments and transport statements. You will engage in junction and traffic assessments with the help of junior members of staff and also be involved with report writing, site visits and overseeing assessments amongst other duties. You will also be involved in helping secure new work through bid writing under the direction of senior members.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree qualified planner with excellent development planning skills and a great understanding of development projects, with the ability to handle projects from inception through to permission and design, closely working with highway engineers within the firm. Your previous experience will include writing transport planning assessments and statements and ideally good knowledge and use of transport planning software including PICADY, ARCADY, and LINSIG/TRANSYT.
