Principal Highways and Drainage Design Engineer needed by a major international engineering consultancy. This post is based in their Birmingham office. This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably experienced Civil Design Engineer to develop their career and assist in the technical direction and future development of this team.

The suitable candidate will have extensive experience in highways and drainage design and will be chartered with the ICE, or an Incorporated member. You should have experience in using CAD and Civil 3D and Microdrainage experience would be advantageous. You must have excellent communication skills.

You will be responsible for technical delivery and financial performance of projects, team management and hands on design. You will be involved in the production of studies, assessments and/or conceptual designs for development schemes including drainage, roads, utilities, flooding and sustainability.

You will be working on a variety of projects such as the highways and drainage for residential, commercial and leisure schemes. The company currently have a long term multi-million pound residential project which is likely to be your main focus initially.
