Senior/Principal Transport Planner

Your new company
Your new company is a small sized consultancy based in Oxford with branches across the UK including London and Cambridge that undertakes a range of schemes from four bedroom units to 2,500 urban extensions that shape future areas and towns. They are strongly involved in residential projects and are also engaged in retail work as well as new places of worship. The firm is looking for someone keen to progress and win their own work as well as manage people

Your new role
You will be involved in helping secure new work through bid writing under the direction of senior members
and developing business relationships with potential clients. Your role will involve undertaking different tasks relating to projects including travel plans, transport assessments and transport statements. You will engage in junction and traffic assessments with the help of junior members of staff and also be involved with report writing, site visits and overseeing assessments amongst other duties.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree qualified planner with excellent transport planning skills with excellent understanding of development projects with ability to handle projects from the inception through to permission and design with close working with highway engineers within the firm. Your previous experience will include writing transport planning assessments and statements and good knowledge and use of transport planning software including PICADY, ARCADY, and LINSIG/TRANSYT.
