A Highways and Drainage Design Engineer at a leading design consultancy is required in London Bridge. This is a multi-disciplinary, medium sized company, offering excellent career opportunities and progression

Criteria:

  • Detailed design of infrastructure works, including highways, drainage and earthwork elements
  • Achieving adoption of the works in accordance with S278 and S38
  • Specification for Highway Works and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
  • Detail design experience for major/minor highway schemes using AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Knowledge of signs and road marking (Key Signs, Key Lines or equivalent), pavement design, road restraint systems would be advantageous as would experience of drainage design using WINDES
  • Liaison with clients and suppliers
  • Good communicator and an ability to solve complex problems with a high degree of technical independence
  • CEng/IEng or close to approaching this

Your experience will have been based on a degree in Civil Engineering, although candidates with an HNC or HND in Civil Engineering and/or extensive experience will also be considered. You should be an Incorporated Engineer or very near approaching this.
