Senior Building Structures Engineer

An opportunity for a senior building structures engineer offering a career with progression that will develop your management skills. Our client is a medium size practice with several offices in the South East, a strong order book and a fine reputation for their building structures, civil  and M&E capabilities. Their workload includes substantial education, housing and healthcare schemes providing technical challenges and healthy margins. Their high level of technical expertise attracts work from leading architects who need innovative and creative structural input.  

You will work alongside the structures partner and provide leadership assistance whilst taking charge of project delivery and management of a design team. It is essential that you are technically proficient and able to carry out scheme design, production management, project management and client liaison duties.  The commercial aspect of the role will involve closer working with the structures partner. This will entail marketing and business development, preparation of fee proposals and strategic planning.

You should be a degree qualified civil or structural engineer, chartered or working towards becoming chartered with the ICE or MIStructE and have well developed interpersonal skills.
