Highways Contracts Manager - North London Authority - £48ph to £54ph - Long Term Contract

Your new company
This Local Authority are based in North London and have recently undergone a large regeneration plan across the Borough. The Traffic and Highways team are large and have a good budget for 2019 so are looking for a new Contracts Manager to join the team on an ongoing hourly rate circa £400 per day / £48 - £54 per hour.

Your new role
To support the Head of Traffic Management in the day to day running of the LoHAC contract. The role will be responsible for the overseeing of the STWP programme supporting the delivery teams making sure all contractual issues are resolved. You will be a technical lead providing contractual advice and guidance as well as managing and monitoring contract performance and any commercial issues.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need extensive experience of managing contracts and projects within a Civils / Highways environment. You will have a good working knowledge of various contract conditions and associated documents such as Highway Works Method of Measurement, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management, cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value control. Knowledge of NEC contracts including the early warning and compensation event mechanisms.
