Do you want to work on some of the most prestigious highways projects with a company that believe that highways are not just about tarmac, but about being the most complicated and important projects in civil engineering.

Main Purpose of the Job

Project leadership of various technical teams in the Highways, Traffic, Transportation and general civil engineering fields. A key focus will be the provision of technical support and guidance to a team of consultant engineers.

Reporting to the Divisional Director of the relevant sector, the role holder will be responsible for delivering projects of varying scale and complexity to programme and budget.

Based in our clients offices in West Yorkshire you will ideally be a Chartered Civil Engineer with at least 10 years post qualification experience. This role would suit an Associate looking to make the next step into a Technical Director position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities;

Development, leadership and delivery of the business including management of significant client base both current and future.

Take a prominent role in delivering the sector business plan Technical support to team of consulting engineers (Highways and drainage) Co-ordination of multi-disciplinary resources and ensuring staff capabilities are at appropriate levels.

Identify potential clients and liaise with the Divisional Director to define market and client development strategies

Ensure bids submitted reflect client requirements and are prepared and submitted in compliance with company procedures.

Responsible for employee development through the Performance Development Review (PDR) process. Ensuring Training Plans are completed and followed up as appropriate

Qualifications: Degree Level Civil Engineer Chartered CEng or IEng Essential

Experience: 10-15 years Civil Engineering experience ideally including Highways, Transport, Drainage and infrastructure.

5 years' team leadership

Public and Private sector experience
