Associate Director (Development Infrastructure)

Our client is a multi-national engineering consultancy offering creative and innovative engineering solutions. They are seeking to appoint an Associate Director to join their growing development infrastructure team in Cambridge.

The 40 strong team specialises in providing development infrastructure solutions from initial concepts through to full implementation.

Projects: - Highways, Signal Design, Drainage, Flood Protection, Earthworks and Service Co-ordination on Residential, Business Parks, Retail, Industrial and Commercial Developments, both in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities:

• Working as technical lead managing and working towards leadership on projects, project management, concept studies and design
• Responsible for growing workload and managing infrastructure projects with existing and new clients.
• Working across all development sectors as opportunities arise, including wider UK and international projects as appropriate to available skills.

Requirements:

• Chartered status (CEng, MICE , IHT or CIWEM), experience in both Highway and Drainage design, and will have a wide knowledge of the industry.
• Work-winning with a record of success (measurable in terms of volume and profitability);
• Excellent technical capability with a successful record of delivery;
• Role model in the management and delivery of profitable and technically excellent projects.
• proven track record over a period of several years of managing infrastructure projects, technical leadership, managing small teams, as well as establishing strong client relationships and repeat business opportunities.

They need a leader - someone who can come in and hit the ground running, instilling confidence in the team whilst demonstrating good communication skills and a positive attitude to their role.
