Structural Engineer

You will need a 2:1 in civil/structural engineering from a good university and four or more years’ structural design experience. This should have provided you a background in steel and reinforced concrete design, additional knowledge of other materials such as timber, masonry, glass or composites would be useful. You will work in a small project team headed up by an associate and be included in the whole design process. Your work will involve solving complex structural engineering problems that will stretch your ingenuity and technical expertise. You will be encouraged and mentored along the way and the experience you gain will enable you to gain chartered status.

You should already be a graduate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers (or an equivalent body). Projects will be varied and interesting, typically including, mixed use retail/residential, arts and Leisure, commercial, corporate HQ, facade retention, listed refurbishments, health, and education buildings. To realise their employee’s full potential they run a graduate training programme, provide a range of CPD activities and will help you gain chartered status through the ICE or IStructE. You will be expected to develop and grow with the business and contribute to their continued success.
