A very well established privately owned Engineering Consultancy based in Glasgow City Centre who have undergone significant growth in recent years. This consultancy provide top class services to a range of very impressive clients within the Rail & Bridge Sector. Their high standard of work has allowed them to gain repeat business from such clients whilst and they now have a very impressive pipeline of projects over the next year. Right now they have approximately 25 employees and are now looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their sociable, fun and professional office culture.

Your new role
In your new role you will oversee all aspects of Geotechnical design including such as slope stability, foundation design, pile design and retaining wall design. You will also be responsible for preparing desk studies, ground investigations, creating technical reports and aiding in fee proposals. A key part of this role will be liaising with clients and supporting the development of new business.


What you'll need to succeed
For this role you will need a degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or similar and have significant experience as a Geotechnical Engineer within a consultancy. Ideally, you will be actively working towards chartership with the ICE. It is not a prerequisite, but it would be advantageous if you had experience within the rail sector. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for the teamwork and client liaison aspects of this role.
