Job Role:
This is a permanent role and offers the successful professional long-term opportunities for career development. The successful individual will be involved in a diverse and challenging range of major construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- 1-5 year post graduate experience in the design of Mechanical Services (Building Services Engineering, preferably in a consultancy environment.
- Ideally, current registration as a BER Assessor /Energy Engineer to conduct Domestic BER assessments will be a distinct advantage.
- Client, project team & contractor interaction.
- Good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multi-functional project team.
- Strong ability to work independently and without supervision.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be a self-motivated and willing to demonstrate initiative.
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Services Engineering, Construction studies, Architectural Engineering, Architectural Technology or equivalent;
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role;
- Current registration, or working towards registration as a Commercial BER Assessor;
- Sound knowledge of the IES VE software and Building Energy Rating (BER) calculations;
- Sound knowledge of the Irish Building Regulations Part L;
- Be competent using Microsoft Office and AutoCAD;
- Excellent knowledge of materials of construction and building services;
- Possess excellent report writing and communication skills, be customer focused and able to work on their own initiative;
- Flexibility and drive to complete work assignments to committed deadlines are essential.
- Full clean driving licence.
