RAIL OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

AUSTRALIA

This international consultancy continue to offer a host of transportation services across the globe, particularly in the rail sector.  As a result of their successes they are now seeking to appoint a Rail Operations Director for a significant scheme in Australia.  The contract awarded will look after the supply and maintenance of rolling stock for NSW Transport Authority.

We are particularly keen to hear from UK residents who have gained extensive experience as a Turnkey Project Manager in the rail sectors and more importantly have experience of leading international teams. You will be fully versed in financial control and project planning/monitoring and have worked on preferably rail depots as well as have experience in equipment specification and procurement and managing multi-disciplinary interfaces.  Some experience of BIM, Primavera and AutoCAD would be very useful.

Your focus will be to oversee the construction project for a major maintenance depot for the new train fleet.  Working to a D&B contract with an international contractor you will ensure the technical compliance, financial management/administration of the contract and programme management.

You will have the vision to inspire and drive the scheme forward to a successful conclusion and already be a well -respected name in the industry with a passion for engineering. 

A Chartered Engineer with both UK and Overseas experience is seen as key, although experience in Australia would be seen as an added bonus.
