Our client are currently looking to recruit an experienced Transport Engineer for their busy Northampton office on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities / Duties will include:

Supporting senior members of the Transport teams
Production of all aspects of small transport assessments and travel plans
Provide support in the production of large transport assessments and travel plans
Undertake transport and person trip modelling and junction capacity assessments
Derivation of transport system mitigation measures
Liaison with key stakeholders and infrastructure team members
Capabilities and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Degree, Masters or higher education equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline and will have a minimum of 4 years work experience in a transport related role. In addition the candidate must:

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook and Powerpoint
Have proven experience of transport assessment packages such as PICADY, ARCADY, TRANSYT and LINSIG
Have excellent report writing skills
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be a positive and enthusiastic team player
Have the ability to engage with key stakeholders
Experience of AutoCAD would be an advantage as well as knowledge of microsimulation software
