Director (Infrastructure)

We are working with a well-known Civil & Structural engineering consultancy with offices throughout the UK. They are looking to increase their presence in the Civils market and are looking for an ambitious Chartered Infrastructure Engineer to join them in a Technical Director role to lead and develop their Infrastructure team on a full-time permanent basis.

The role involves heading up a fully integrated team, working for clients within the following sectors: Residential, Commercial, Industrial. educational and more.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Infrastructure Engineering design teams across multi offices
• Lead and direct the business development activities to grow the Civils service offered
• Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with other team members, stakeholders including technical & non-technical Clients.
• Ensuring projects are sufficiently resourced by working closely with teams throughout the Group
• Delegating work to team members, programming deliverables and monitoring progress of all teams
• Support and develop junior staff through guidance, mentoring and leadership of their development
• Prepare and check calculations, drawings, details, specifications and reports for a wide range of structures and materials
• Ensure the implementation of Company policies
• Inform the Board on new product features to be developed to meet current and future business needs.
• Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers
• Collaborating with other Directors in delivering the company strategy and business results

Requirements:

• Chartered - ICE or CIHT
• Must have a good level of experience in a managerial position
• Able to manage a team of 7+ Civil Engineers & Technicians
• Able to lead your team, ensuring staff members under your direction feel valued, motivated & are contributing
• Must have a strong background in roads & drainage design
• Good knowledge of current design software, ideally including Civils 3D, Microdrainage & AutoCad
• Valid UK driving licence
