Senior Structural Design Engineer

Our client is a growing civil & structural engineering consultancy based in Croydon. They are looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their Commercial and Residential team on a full time permanent basis. This is a well-established business offering variety in the projects they work on and a dynamic, friendly and supportive working environment. The majority of the work will be structural design as they have a separate Civils focused team.

Projects: Bridges, Commercial & Retail, Heritage, Infrastructure, Rail, Residential and Temporary Works sectors.

Requirements:

• Hold a degree/Masters in Structural Engineering (essential)
• Chartered or near Chartered within a relevant institution (IStructE preferred) - essential
• A minimum of 6 years' industry experience (essential)
• A minimum of 1 years' industry experience in the UK (essential)
• A solid Structural design experience with a strong background delivering Structural building projects within a UK based consultancy in both the private & public sectors (essential)
• A solid highly technical Engineer. They must have a good understanding of calculations and be an experienced number cruncher (essential)
• Skills and experience using structural design and analysis software such as TEDDS, SCIA Engineer etc (essential)
• Excellent spoken and written English (essential)
• Be well versed in writing reports (essential)
• Good Client-facing experience and ability to form, build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues (essential)
• Experience working in Small/Medium companies/consultancies (essential)
• Rail experience is not essential
