£25000 - £45000 | Civil Design Engineer or Technician | Graduate to Senior

One of the largest independent consultancies in Scotland who have continually experienced gradual growth and increase in workload, mainly due to their excellent client retention. They expect to design and deliver, to the highest possible standard, on a variety of projects ranging from small-scale residential developments to multi-million-pound developments. Their high degree of quality and expertise have seen them recently been listed in the top 100 Civil Engineering companies from a survey by New Civil Engineer (NCE) and they are looking for Civil Design Engineers or Technicians, from graduate level up to Senior level, to join their thriving design team.


Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for the road, drainage and infrastructure design for a variety of developments within the residential, commercial, industrial and retail sectors. You will liaise with architects, clients and other professionals whilst carrying out duties and participate in both internal and external design review meetings. Depending on your degree of experience, you will also be involved in the development and mentoring of more junior members of staff.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have a HNC/HND or other relevant qualification in Civil Engineering and significant experience in the Civils sector. You will have experience in the use of Civil Engineering design packages such as PDS, Civils 3D and Microdainage for the design of roads and drainage within different developments. Due to the nature of the role, it is important you have good communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to work effectively within your team and liaise with clients.
