The company is an independent firm of planners, engineers, consultants, designers and specialists offering a range of services to their clients both in the public and private sector.

Your new role
The company are seeking an Associate skilled in development planning, strategic planning, surface access issues, and policy work to become an addition to their central London team, to lead and manager projects with a major part of the role contributing to work winning. You will be responsible for managing teams for the day to day management of a range of projects in the UK and nationally which include development master plans, surface access solutions, transport strategies, development for individual sites, and surface access solutions in the UK and overseas focused on technical assurance, delivery to programme and budget overseeing the project team. You will be responsible for bidding and for winning new work from a range of public and private sector clients, also for the development, mentoring and training of junior staff.

What you'll need to succeed
You will possess an extensive portfolio of experience in transport planning in the fields of development, strategic and cities planning, including experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and engineers. You will have managed the technical and delivery aspects of projects related to development planning ranging in complexity and fee budgets dealing both with public sector and private sector clients. You will be proficient in report writing, data collection and data interpretation techniques having experience in local highway network analysis which include junction capacity design and assessments. You will hold a university degree in a relevant discipline, i.e. engineering, geography economics or mathematics also holding a chartered professional qualification or equivalent of a relevant institution (e.g. CEng, TPP, CIHT, ICE, CILT, TPS)
