Civil Design Engineer

Our client is a global engineering consultancy firm who are well-known within the industry for their extensive Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Construction & Digital engineering expertise, and they currently have an opening for a Civil Design Engineer to provide engineering support on projects from concept to completion in their Central London office

Projects: High-Rise, Commercial, Educational, Retail, Industrial, Cultural, Hotel and more.

Company Headcount: >600

Location: The office is located in Central London; nearest tube stations are Southwark & Borough.

Responsibilities of the Civil Design Engineer:

• Take a lead role in the design of high profile UK and global schemes,
• Assess all roads and drainage designs to ensure compliance and cost effective guidelines have been adhered to,
• Prepare initial site designs,
• Carry out site visits & inspections
• Liaise with statutory authorities to resolve engineer matters,
• Ensure compliance with all Building Regulations and NHBC standards,
• Interpret geotechnical and environmental reports, making recommendations,
• Produce technical site appraisals,

Requirements for the role:

• Engineering degree - preferably civil
• Proficient in AutoCAD/PDS/WinDEs/Microdrainage
• Previous experience within house building industry
• Extensive experience working on engineering designs for highways infrastructure, private drainage, external works and setting out for residential developments
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
