Structural Engineer

Exciting opportunity for a project structural engineer to join this dynamic and growing structural design consultancy.

This is an exciting small business with significant growth and development plans. Established last year and currently with 9 staff, including 3 Chartered Engineers, this practice has been set up by two of the industry's most reputable name Chartered Engineers as they have branched away from one of the large blue chips to establish their own consultancy. This post is for a key person who will be an integral part of the team and this is an excellent career opportunity with great promotional prospects as the practice grows.

Both Directors are Chartered, with experience of working on some of London's most high profile buildings and experienced mentors. They have excellent client contacts and are already working on several major projects for top client names, including a high profile £135m regeneration scheme. You will therefore have the opportunity to work on major projects with some of the best industry names yet without the big firm politics. Projects include high rise work. They also have some smaller, architecturally challenging projects as well. You will gain exposure to a wide spectrum of work and be involved in all project stages from conception to completion. The practice has all the latest structural software technology in place and is fully BIM conversant.

You must have a few years experience within a structural consultancy, be of a social disposition, technically strong, passionate about buildings design and be keen to obtain your chartership. You should have high rise project experience and have good rc design skills. You must be proficient with CSI Safe and Tekla software. They also use Tedds. Some post tension experience would be useful, but not essential.

You will initially be working on producing detailed design for a £45m mixed resi and office development in London, working alongside a Graduate and Principal Structural Engineer.

The practice has shared spacious open plan office space in the bustling W2 area with plenty of shops and eateries. They are a flexible, friendly and social practice where people enjoy their work and have fun.
