Our client are a privately owned consultancy based in Hull. They provide Civil and Structural Engineering designs to the rail, oil, gas, petrochemical, power and industrial sectors in the UK and over overseas.

With a rapidly expanding workload, they have an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated Principal Structural Engineer.

Job Summary

We are looking for Permanent Principal / Senior Engineer (Structural), Chartered or nearing Chartered status, to start immediately. The candidate will be accountable to the Directors to undertake calculations, design work and design management as required for projects.

Some of the key duties will be:

- Production of Engineering design and detail in accordance with project requirements.

- Preparation of calculations, written reports and checking of contract drawings.

- Checking of calculations done by other Engineers.

- Client liaison.

- Site visits as required by projects.

To be considered you must have a Degree or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering and be Chartered or nearing Chartered status. You will have at least 6 years design experience in a wide range of structural projects.

You will also be familiar with UK standards or equivalent Euro Codes and have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
