The companies services include; planning and development management, building control, environmental health trading standards and licensing, highways, strategic planning and regeneration. the business has grown to provide a range of property, development and regulatory services to other local authorities. From construction to completion; the highways team deal with all elements of highway design and works for the local area and for local authorities.

Your new role
As a Development Travel Plan Advisor you will be required to assist in the assessment of Travel Plans at all stages of Travel Plan development, implementation, monitoring and review. You will also assist in managing the Councils approach to Travel Planning, through the development, promotion and co-ordinated delivery of initiatives aimed at reducing the number of car-based trips in the borough. You'll assist on developer negotiations through the development control process to secure outcome based travel plans and assist managing the budget preparation and the monitoring of relevant set budgets to ensure best value.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll need experience in travel planning and good knowledge of current legislation able to demonstrate the ability to programme, supervise and monitor a number of projects simultaneously with good time / budgetary skills. You will also need experience working with consultants/contractors with the ability to meet deadlines.
You will hold membership of a Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation or equivalent in addition to the principles of project management and specialist planning packages.
