Senior Structural Engineer

Steel and concrete design and delivery with some client facing experience is required by this successful specialist structural consultancy. The practice is well established with many prestigious blue chip clients in the commercial, leisure, hospitality and transportation sectors. They are looking for a senior structural engineer with experience of building or industrial structures gained with a consultancy or contractor. Reporting to a senior director you will oversee the design of a range of structures using all the commonly used materials with an emphasis on steel.

 After a period of on the job training you will take responsibility for delivering your own projects. This will involve scheme design, programming of works and checking the work of engineers and technicians. You will work closely with key client representatives and architects, occasional client and site visits are required. Good interpersonal skills will prove invaluable as you will work closely with clients and stakeholders and provide on-going guidance to junior engineers.   

You should be a degree or HND qualified engineer who is able to manage his/ her own workload. If required support will be provided to achieve chartered or incorporated status. Their offices are a short walk from a mainline rail station.
