Senior Foundations Engineer

A senior piling and foundations specialist is required by a leading contractor. Their workload covers rail, highways, energy, buildings and tunnelling projects with an emphasis on complex major projects. You would be joining a technical division that provides advice and oversight on projects throughout the UK. Your role will be to provide tender, feasibility and construction advice that enhances profitability, quality and helps to minimise risks. This is a profitable, well managed business with a growing workload. They have a high level of technical expertise and a rigorous system to ensure designs, tenders and contracts are carefully scrutinised and optimised.

The position offers variety and flexibility, you will work closely with the geotechnical manger, estimating department and chief engineer.  There will be occasional visits to their other UK regions to provide front-end advice. The workload will cover building and heavy civil work, future growth will have emphasis on major infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

You should be a degree qualified engineer and have worked at section engineer/ project management level.  A background working for a specialist piling / foundations contractor would be especially relevant. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be working alongside a range of technical, site based and commercial colleagues.
